WINSTED –DUDLEY – Cecile Catherine Dudley, 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 16, 2021. She was the wife of the late William James Dudley for 38 years. Born February 27, 1927 in Winsted; the daughter of the late Theodore R. and Margaret (Amesbury) Grosclaude. Cecile grew up in Torrington and lived in Winsted once she married Bill to raise their family. She worked for Winsted Memorial Hospital as a Dietary Aide for at least 26 years and loved her job there. She was an avid mystery reader and a dedicated Red Sox fan. She also enjoyed telling fortunes for fun with cards and was a great cook that never used a recipe. She also enjoyed trips to the Casino to play the slot machines. Cecile was a loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed. She is survived by her children, Nancy Ciesco and husband Mike of Wolcott, Susan Green and husband Robb of Winsted, William Dudley of Winsted and Diane Duhaime of Wethersfield; grandchildren, Kelly Keough and husband Ken of Farmington, Jennifer Hackett and husband Josh of West Hartland, Mic Nicosia and wife Sonja of Thomaston, Josh Nicosia of PA and Jamie Burt and husband Mitch of WI; 8 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Barbara Barnes and siblings, Theodore “Bud” Grosclaude, Lydia Zarins and Linda Lemanquais.
