Cecile B. (Fugere) Thompson, 104 years old, passed away peacefully Sep 6, 2016 at Rosewood Nursing Home, Peabody. Born in Clinton on Oct 1, 1911, she previously resided in Rochester, N.H. and then moved to Fair Weather Apartments, Danvers, in 2003. Her first job was working as an account in her father’s grocery store in Salem and she continued her career at First National grocery stores until her retirement in 1973. Cecile enjoyed bingo, word puzzles, cross stitch, sewing, knitting, and cooking. All of which she did well She also loved traveling to Florida in the winter. She is preceded by her parents, Stanislas and Alma (Robinson) Fugere; her son, Bruce R Thompson and son-in-law Robert A McDonald. Also, preceded by her brothers Wilfred, Emile and Raymond and sisters, Bernadette Fugere Colby and her sons; Kenneth and Wilfred Colby and Claire Fugere Holloran and Claire’s son, Richard Holloran. She is survived by her daughter, B Gloria McDonald and her daughter-in-law, Lynne F Thompson. Also survived by nephews and nieces, Collette Fugere, Claire Fugere Isabelle, Wilfred Colby, Ronald Holloran, Michael Holloran, Chuck Holloran, Renee Holloran Brewer and Patricia Holloran Davidson.
