Mr. Cecil Sherman Rose, age 86, of Milford, beloved husband of the late Wanda Phillips Rose, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2009 at Milford Hospital. Son of the late Charles and Laura Gentry Rose, he was born on May 16, 1923 in Blue, OK. Cecil served with pride and honor in the US Army Corps during WWII and recipient of two Bronze Stars. He retired from the former H.B. Ives/Ingersol Rand Co. after 40 years. Cecil was a former President of the Housatonic Rod and Gun Club, and a member of the Milford Grange. Survivors include his two sons; Sherman L. Rose, and Steven B. Rose, both of Milford; five grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher, Patrick, Daniel, and Gina and eight great-grandchildren, Ashlie, Natalie, Scott, Taelor, Colin, Steven, Nicholas, and Stephanie. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Lisa.
