Cecil Howard Cumbo, Sr., 80, of Hollister, entered the sunset of his life on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Haven Hospice following a brief illness. He was born in Willis, VA, Dickenson County, to the late Calvert Addison and Evelyn Ramey Cumbo. He was a retired truck driver from Florida Furniture Ind. and was a truck driver and mechanic with Tuttle Dozer Works, Inc. for several years. He was a jack of all trades and enjoyed tinkering with motors of all types, fishing, spending time with family and friends, and Jeep rides with his youngest daughter.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents, 2 sons Keith Randall Cumbo and Terry Joe Cumbo, along with several other dear family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Shirley Busby Cumbo of Hollister; 2 sons, Robert Dewayne Cumbo of Welaka, and Cecil Howard Cumbo II of Hollister; 2 daughters, Vicki Lynn Sheppard of Graham, NC., and his baby girl Sheryl Cumbo Holt of Johnson, along with their spouses. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, friends, additional family; 2 brothers, Wayne Cumbo of Keystone Heights, and Bobby Cumbo of Interlachen, and a sister Bernice Stoeffler of Tampa.
