Born May 24, 1924, in Logansport, he was the son of Lavoyda Dodrill and Anna Faye Staley Dodrill. He was married on Nov. 29, 1942, in Logansport, to Doris Belle Lindzy, who preceded him in death on Nov. 12, 2005.
Cecil was a retired salesman for Weldstar. He had also been a welder at Muehlhausen Spring in earlier years.
Survivors include his son, Warren “Bud” Dodrill and his wife, Pam, Logansport; three grandchildren, W. Scott Dodrill and his wife, Terry, Logansport, Lesley Shepherd, and her husband, Jon, Schertz, Texas, and Lori Landis, and her husband, Micheal, Lake Cicott; six great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Lindzy Shepherd, Schertz, Texas; Kerry and Kyle Dodrill, Logansport, and Mikenna and Mallori Landis, Lake Cicott; one brother, John Dodrill and his wife, Virginia, Knightstown; two sisters, Sylvia Macy, Logansport, and Kate Holmes, Michigan; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Larry Wayne Dodrill; four brothers; and three sisters.
