Cecelia Whitmire (1935-2010), longtime Middleton resident, passed away last Thursday, July 8, quietly at home with her family after a long illness.  Born the daughter of Edward and Agnes Lucas in Detroit, Michigan, Cecelia was moved early and raised in Wyoming and Idaho.  Cecelia was the sixth of ten children and is survived by siblings Joan Biscoe and her husband Hap, Lynn Lucas and his wife Carol, Jim Lucas and his wife Linda, and Carolyn Coombs and her husband Fred.  Cecelia had four children;  Sheryl Hoyt and her husband Rich, Linda Spearman and her husband Jim, Michael Whitmire and his wife Penny, and Steven Whitmire.  There are 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and Mimi, Cecelia’s best friend to carry on her memory.  Cecelia was a career scale operator for Simplot and retired from the Caldwell plant.  Cecelia loved to garden, fish, sew, and do crafts.  She once pitched a baseball game for Homedale against Wilder disguised as a boy (Homedale won).
