Cecelia L. Baker, 102, of Huntington, passed away Saturday September 4, 2021 at Heritage of Huntington, Huntington, IN.
Cecelia was born on March 20, 1919, in Huntington, IN, to Leonard C. and Frieda (Kaiser) Ehinger. Her parents preceded her in death. She married Frank A. Baker on May 21, 1940 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. They were married 57 years. He preceded her in death on April 20, 1997.
Cecelia graduated from Huntington Catholic High School. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic. She was a member of the Widows of Prayer and helped with funeral dinners for many years. Cecelia was employed at Our Sunday Visitor in the envelope department several times over the years, and she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her two daughters, Judi Smyth of Huntington, IN and Marilyn Duty of Houston, TX; three grandsons, Mike (Janice) Smyth, Andrews, IN, Erik DeHaven, Hempstead, TX, and Mark (Darci) Smyth, Indianapolis; three great-grandchildren, Kayla (Alex) Finney, Jacob Smyth and Nora Smyth.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter Linda Louise Baker; two infant granddaughters Chelsi Jean DeHaven and Christa Jean DeHaven; one sister, Connie Ehinger; one brother, Jack Ehinger; and two sons-in-law, Jerry Smyth and Dale Duty.
