Mrs. Cathleen Ratliff,82, transitioned to her heavenly home on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Hospice Home at High Point.
Cathleen was born on May 13, 1931 to the late Ward F. Young, Sr. and Ada Shaw Young in Montgomery County, North Carolina. She had been a resident of High Point for over fifty-four years. Coming from a large family, she loved providing for and loving others. Her grandchildren always had a special place in her heart.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Ratliff, Jr.; sons, Jimmy, and Michael Ratliff; daughter, Kathy D. Ratliff; brothers, William T. Young and David Young; sisters, Lula V. Johnston, Clara R. Butler, and Sarah A. Young.
Surviving relatives include sons, Johnny J. Ratliff (Janice), Tommy Ratliff (Rebecka), Robert E. Ratliff (Sandra), Tony A. Ratliff, and James B. Ratliff; daughters, Sally Ratliff and Mary Ratliff; sisters, Pothine Simmons of Troy, Willie M. Robinson of Ellerbe, Geneva Mary Leak of Troy, and Ada B. Capel of Biscoe; brothers, Ward F. Young, Jr. (Lila), of Charlotte, Henry John Young of High Point (Sarah), Paul Young (Debra) of High Point, and Troy Young (Veronica) of High Point; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
