Salem Catherine Sue Cayton, 53, of Salem, beloved mother of Mrs. Chris (Lisa) Bragg, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 25, 2010, in United Hospital Center as a result of cancer. She was born April 19,1957 in Clarksburg, a daughter of the late Joe and Mary Katherine Reed Nicholas. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Lewis (Mary Jo) Davis, and one brother Jeddy L. Nicholas, both of Salem; two nieces, Mrs. Donnie (Crystal) Shanholtz, children Justin and Logan; Mrs Allen (Carrie Ann) Stubblefield, children Katherine, Brooklyn, Trinity, Ethan; one nephew Jeddy J. Nicholas (Heather Gaines), children Gabriel, Ryan, and Madison. Cathy was a graduate of Liberty High School and West Virginia Business College. At one time, she had been and employee of the Harrison County Board of Education as a custodian. She was a wonderful mother, sister, and aunt, who loved everyone and had many hobbies that she enjoyed. Catherine was a member of Enon Baptist Church on Flinderation Road, where she loved to be on Sunday mornings with her Pastor and church family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. According to her wishes, the body will be cremated.
