Catherine S. DePamphilis, age 88, died Fri. Nov. 6, 2020, at Phoebe Richland Healthcare Center, Richlandtown. Born Feb. 18, 1932, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Maryanne (Motz) Sauermelch, and the wife of Edward R. DePamphilis, to whom she was married 68 years. After obtaining an associate degree in business from the former Temple College, Catherine was employed by Hay Associates as a facilities manager for many years. In her spare time, she was an avid reader, dog lover, and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and needlework. In addition to her husband, Catherine is survived by: children Karen Burg, Janet Hober, JoAnne Johnson (husband David), Edward DePamphilis, Jr. (wife Christina), and Richard DePamphilis (wife Lisa); grandchildren Michael, Kirsten, Colleen, Janine, Nicole, Billy, Jack, LeighAnn and Larissa; and greatgrandchildren Ayden, Izaak, Tyler, Ashley, Kyle, Jaelyn, and Jason. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by: brothers Charles and Frank Sauermelch; and sisters Bernice Macready, and Mary Armstrong.
