Catherine Rutledge, daughter of Rubin and Ida Mae Martin- Jones was born July 3, 1935 in Marion, Alabama. Catherine spent the majority of her younger years in Alabama before moving to Indianapolis in 1955 to further her endeavors in her adult years.
Catherine was a dedicated employee of 15 years at the Indianapolis Building, where she was a custodial engineer. She then went on to work for Scott Manor, where she flourished in her career,working 24 wonderful years before retiring.
Catherine Rutledge transitioned from labor to reward peacefully at home June 19, 2021 at 2:45 AM. at a seasoned 85 yrs. Catherine was proceeded in death by her parents,husband Robert Rutledge Sr., Four brothers Tommy, Albert, Willie and OC;, Three sisters Janie, Willie Mae and Frances, Two sons Frank and Charles Rutledge and a son-in-law Steve (Raymond, Jamar).
She leaves memories to her son’s Robert Rutledge Jr. David Rutledge, Roger Rutledge, Terry Rutledge. Daughters Christine Rutledge, Mavonne Rutledge, Shirley Emerson, Sadie Rutledge, Sherry Rutledge and Reia Rutledge. A host of grand children, family,friends and loved ones.
