Catherine Carlin Ritchie, 73, passed away on Friday, January 18, 2013 in White Plains, NY. Rena, as she was known to her family and friends, was born in Glasgow, Scotland on August 7, 1939, and was the eldest daughter of David and Mary (Tonner) Ritchie. Rena, at the age of 20, decided she wanted to move to the United States, and leaving all of her family behind in Scotland, set off on her journey.

Although she began her life in her new country as a domestic employee, Rena worked for many years as a bookkeeper and office manager, until suffering a life-changing stroke at the age of 61. Rena loved music, and one of the things she enjoyed most was going to the opera with friends. She loved her grandchildren and tried to spend as much time with them as she could, and also took many trips back to her homeland of Scotland to visit with her family.

Rena is survived by her daughter; Roanna and husband Kenneth Holzhauer of West Allis, WI, three grandsons; Steven Booth of West Allis, WI, David Booth of Boca Raton, FL, and Brandon Holzhauer of West Allis, WI, and two great-grandchildren; Adrienne Booth and Jakob Booth of Indiana. She is also survived by her five siblings; Matthew Ritchie of Australia, and Isabel Hall, Donald Ritchie, Anne Davidson, and David Ritchie, who all reside in Scotland. Rena also leaves many nieces and nephews, as well as her former husband, Donald Eisnor of Montgomery, NY.
Rena is predeceased by her parents; David and Mary Ritchie, as well as two sisters who died as young children; Jenny and Mary.
