Catherine Butler (O’Neill) passed away peacefully on June 30, 2022 at the age of 84 as family members were by her side.
Catherine was born in 1938 in Woodlawn, Galway, Ireland. She immigrated to Chicago in 1959, where she met her husband Martin and lovingly raised a family of five children. Catherine was devoted to her Catholic faith and her family. She loved getting together with her family and friends.
Catherine was preceded in death by her husband Martin Butler; parents Patrick O’Neill and Margaret O’Neill (Connor); siblings Paddy, Eileen, Mary, Michael, Rita, Josephine. She is survived by her daughters, Mary (David) and Margaret (Elliott); sons Michael (Ghada), Patrick (Nicole) and Sean (Barbara); granddaughters Katie, Briana, Amelie, Fiona, Kyla, and Molly; grandsons Michael, Patrick, Raiden and Martin.
