McCarthy, Catherine McCarthy, age 92, of Bridgeport, died November 7, 2005 in St. Joseph’s Manor. Mrs. McCarthy was born in Bridgeport to the late Charles and Mary Elizabeth Canavan McCarthy and was a lifelong resident. She retired from Read’s Department Store having worked as a cashier in the main office for over thirty five years. She is survived by her cousin, Marguerite Sullivan Dunigan of Stratford and her children, Patricia Silberblatt, and Marguerite Dunigan.
