Catherine Maddox Hansard, age 86, died in her home on March 5, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert C. Hansard, and her mother, Evie Dell Maddox.
Born April 10, 1934, as the only child of Evie Dell and Quincy Maddox; she lived in several areas of Gwinnett County until she and her mother settled in what is now Sugar Hill, GA.
She began sewing at an early age and was a seamstress for the public when her children were small. Her marriage in 1954 produced 4 children that she raised into successful adults; saying this was her greatest achievement. She worked at North Gwinnett High School as a cashier while her children were in school and worked at Russell Corporation as a seamstress until she retired.
