Catherine M. (Kay) Carey passed away peacefully at 89 years old on Monday, November 21, 2022, in Plymouth.
She was the beloved wife of the late Paul F. Carey. Born August 31,1933, in Lynn.
She was the daughter of the late, former Lynn Police Chief, Charles J. and Mary E. (Fox) Kerivan.
She was also predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Charles J. Jr. and M. Anne Kerivan.
Kay graduated from Lynn Classical High School and Burdette College in Boston. She was employed for many years as a bookkeeper at Locker-Ober Restaurant in Boston. She had a flair for home décor and enjoyed decorating her homes through the years. She loved to shop for her grandchildren when they were kids. Every occasion and holiday all seven grandchildren were dressed in new outfits, compliments of “Katie”. They were her pride and joy. Kay was also an avid Patriots fan and looked forward to many game days in Foxboro. Her most memorable and happiest days were the times she spent with her three generations of children.
She had three children who will lovingly remember their mother. Her daughter, Debra E. Analoro of NC, her son and his wife, Charles M Jr. and Sharon Moody of Peabody, and her son Kerry J. Moody of Plymouth. “Katie” will be missed, but with smiles of all the fun and happy memories they had with her by her seven grandchildren, Jaime Bishop of NC, Colleen Onos and her husband Neal of Wilmington, Charles Moody III and his wife Courtney of Seekonk, Michelle Costa and her husband Rob of Plymouth, Laura Moody and her fiancé Jesse Stevens of Plymouth, Julie St. Pierre and her husband Paul of Hanover, Daniel Analoro and his wife Jena of NC, and her eleven precious, great-grandchildren, Kenley and Chloe Bishop, Jaydn and Landon Onos, Connor and Daegan Moody, Emerson, Jackson, and Charlie Costa, Matthew St. Pierre, and Brooke Analoro. She also leaves two nieces and one nephew.
