Catherine L. Christner, 92, a resident of Redstone Highlands Greensburg and formerly of Scottdale, passed away, Wednesday, October 6, 2010.
She was born January 22, 1918 in Baggley a daughter of the late Harry and Mae (Waters) Lute.
Catherine was a member of St. John the Baptist RC Church, Scottdale and a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Lambing #314. She was a former volunteer at Frick Hospital, Mt.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L. Christner on Dec. 11, 1995 a sister, Jean Province; a brother, Harry Lute and a nephew, Russ Province (8/17/2010)
Catherine is survived by her daughters, Marianne Merlino and husband Patrick; Barbara J. Christner; Dianne L. Gale and Lisa Kay Barczynski and husband John; grandchildren, John E. Barczynski; Heather L. Barczynski; Kristen M. Barczynski and James E. Schuck III; and several nieces and nephews.
