Catherine M. “Kay” (Vignali) Loebach, 97, of Peru, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Heritage Healthcare Center in Peru.
Mrs. Loebach was born January 24, 1924 in Ladd to Albert and Mary (Palmonari) Vignali. She married George W. Loebach on June 24, 1944 in Ladd. He passed away April 26, 2006.
Mrs. Loebach was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, Peru where she was active in the Altar and Rosary Society. She graduated from Liberty Beauty School in 1947 and was a member of the Illinois Cosmetology Association for over 60 years. She was a partner with Marian Benedict at the Cinderella Beauty Shop, Peru. She also worked at the Illinois Valley Community Hospital gift shop for 25 years.
Mrs. Loebach was a member of Woodhaven Lakes Association for 45 years and enjoyed camping. She was an avid baker. She loved her family which was her greatest joy.
Survivors include two sons, Donald (Cindi) Loebach of Peru and Robert (Robin) Loebach of Oswego; five grandchildren, Rachael (Brian) Bennett, Lexie (Chris) Backos, Eric (Jillian) Loebach, Sarah (Samantha) Nikel-Loebach and Andrew Cheriz Loebach; six great-grandchildren, Amber, Shawn, Morgan, Jadis, Maddie and Devon; two great-great grandchildren, Arya and Kasie and her sister, Norma Muzzerelli of Spring Valley. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
