She died at 11:19 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, 2009, at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Indianapolis.
The daughter of James P. and Deloris (Hollie) Hettinger, she was born Feb. 3, 1953, in Logansport. She was married to Michael A. “Corky” Corcoran, who preceded her in death.
Sass enjoyed playing bingo, poker and crafting. Her beloved dogs were Blue and Corky.
She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Pursch, Marion, and Sarah Corcoran, Logansport; brother, Jimi (Donna) Hettinger, Angier, N.C.; sisters, Rebecca (Jim) Gallo, Fort Myers, Fla., Cynthia (Chelsia) Morries, Bloomington, and Suzie Walls (partner Rick Sines), Logansport; five grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Elizabeth Hettinger; and a brother, Patrick Hettinger.
