It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Catherine Elizabeth (Hudgins) Buckingham, who passed away on September 13, 2022, while bravely battling cancer.
She was born on January 7, 1956 in Bisbee, Arizona to parents Roy and Audrey Hudgins. She is survived by her loving father, Roy Hudgins; brother Donald Hudgins (Pam); sister Shelley Sedor; daughter Vanessa Elizabeth Burnosky (Scott); granddaughter Avery Lyn Burnosky; nephew Jason Hudgins (Annette); grandnephew Carter Hudgins, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who loved her dearly.
She also enjoyed her career working alongside her co-workers at APS for over 20 years.
Catherine was generous, loving and kind. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially loved her role as “Nana” to her granddaughter Avery, who she proudly doted over and spoiled every chance she could.
Her favorite time of the year was Halloween. She loved the ocean, butterflies, antique clocks, carnations, old movies and taking trips to California.
Before she passed, she said “Don’t sweat the small stuff, enjoy life!”
Catherine will be desperately missed by all those that she has left behind. Our hearts are broken by this unexpected loss.
Her family wishes to extend a special thanks to Hospice of the Valley for their compassionate care during Catherine’s short stay.
