Cathy Ann Posten, 43, of Station Rd., Scotland, died suddenly on Friday March 8, 2002 at the Windham Hospital. She was born Aug. 29, 1958 in New Haven the daughter of Harry and Gail (Keller) Posten of Storrs. She was a graduate of E.O. Smith High School, receiving in 1976 the Best Senior Female Athlete Award for staring in 3 varsity sports, volleyball, basketball and softball. Cathy had been employed for over 20 years at the Caldor store in the East Brook Mall as office manager. Most recently, she was employed at Keith’s Appliances in Jewett City. She was an ardent supporter of the Special Olympics. In addition to her parents, Cathy is survived by a son Troy Hamm of Torrington, 2 daughters; Shana Tedford and Miranda Tedford both of Scotland, a brother Tom Posten of Windham, a sister June Posten of S. Windsor, her maternal grandmother Irene Keller of Storrs, her great aunt Viola Nelson, uncle Neil Cochran, uncle Donald and aunt Toni Keller, uncle Jim and aunt Dell Posten and their families.
