Catharine Stewart High, age 91, of Westminster, Maryland, died peacefully on Friday, June 18, 2010 at the Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster.
Born April 21, 1919 in Union Mills, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Ernest W. and Elvira V. (Baumgardner) Stewart, Sr.
Catharine retired after 17 years working at Random House in the returns department. She was a member of Meadow Branch Church of the Brethren in Westminster. She enjoyed reading, word search puzzles, crochet, BINGO, bus trips, and her pet cat.
Surviving are children, Barry High and wife Veronica of Westminster, Sue Ann Byers and husband Larry of Abbottstown, PA; grandchildren Tammy S. Peery, Stephanie R. Repp, Valerie S. Scheivert, and Christopher B. High; great-grandchildren Kelsey A. Peery, Kaitlin E. Repp, Kaleb M. Repp, Kyle W. Repp, Madison E. Peery, and Avery C. High.
She was predeceased by a brother Ernest W. Stewart, Jr., and a sister Edna Leppo.
