A Time to Be Born
Cassandra Lavette Giles affectionately known to her family as “San” was born on February 14, 1979, to Mary Ann Neely & Jeffrey Giles in Sommerville, Tennessee.
A Time for Eternal Rest
On Wednesday, April 5, 2023, God in His infinite wisdom deemed it time for his beloved and precious daughter Cassandra to depart from this earthly world of turmoil to a place of peace and eternal rest in His Heavenly Kingdom. Cassandra was proceeded in death by her maternal grandfather; Donzell Jones Sr.; paternal grandmother Narlene Giles; and four uncles: Clarence William Morgan, Michael Jones, Ricky Jones, and Donzell Jones Jr.
A Time to Live
Cassandra accepted Christ in her life at an early age. She obtained an education in the Hardeman County School System where she attended Bolivar Central High School as a class member of the class of 1997. Cassandra always had a nurturing and caring nature. Her greatest passion was helping and being a service to others; that is why she pursued a career early in life in the medical field as a CNA at Pine Meadows Healthcare alongside her uncle Ricky. She worked many years in this profession until she started to experience health issues. Her personality was outgoing and contagious. She loved to laugh. Cassandra was one of the most genuine, humbling, and vibrant spirits with the most amazing smile that would light up any room. She never hesitated to lend a helping hand when needed. Cassandra’s greatest blessing and joys in life was the unconditional love she had for her family and her children. Our beloved Cassandra will be remembered and cherished as a woman of strength & servitude and as a loving and devoted mother, daughter, auntie, and friend who was adored by her family.
On February 14, 2014, Cassandra exchanged marital vows with Roger Pirtle.
