Cassandra J. Nowak, 54, of South Bend, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday March 7, 2018 at her home. She was born on December 27, 1963 in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. On August 28, 1982, she married Mike Nowak, who survives. Also surviving are her son, Michael A. Nowak and a sister, Karen McDowell. She was preceded in death by a brother, Chris Erlacher. Cassandra loved going to the beach, swimming and sewing.
