Caryl V. Block 82, died March 30, 2013 in Florence Colorado following a brief illness. Caryl was born in Buffalo, N.Y. October 23, 1930 to Pauline and Vincent Smith. While attending college she met Fred Block and they married in 1949. Fred was in the military and the family moved to California, Missouri, Kentucky, Ohio and New York, finally settling in Colorado Springs in 1972. Caryl was a special education teacher and accounting specialist for many years. She also loved music and managed and sang with the Fort Carson “Carsonettes”.
