Carroll O. Taylor, 85, of Mt. Sterling and formerly of Virginia died December 19, 2008 at Walker Nursing Home in Virginia.
He was born May 3, 1923 in Cass County, IL; the son of James Orville and Cora Wagner Taylor.
He is survived by a son, Shawn Winfield of Plaquemine, LA; a brother, Earl Taylor of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Taylor and a sister, Catherine Siltman.
Mr. Taylor attended Chandlerville schools and farmed in Cass County for several years. He was a member of Sangamon Valley Presbyterian Church and Chandlerville Masonic Lodge.
