Carrol Lynn Butler, 65, of Troy, Ill, born August 25, 1941 in Dallas, Texas, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2007 surrounded by her loving family. Carrol was a member of Central Christian Church in O’Fallon, Ill. She was also a member of Eastern Star, past WHP of White Shrine, past President of The Social Order of Beaucceant and past State VP of Demolay Moms. She enjoyed Crocheting, needlework, the Houston Astros and her green thumb could stand against the best. Her annual sees-ters (sisters) vacation to the beach in Texas was always the highlight of her year.

Carrol was preceded in death by her parents Eugene & Edna, nee Baskett, Ligon. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Everett Loren Butler, whom she married on April 7, 1972 in Texarkana, AR. Also surviving are five children, Doug (Betty) Butler of Monticello, Ill., Lisa Butler of Tolono, Ill, Robert Gray of Troy, Ill., David (Kathy) Butler of Bellevue, NE, and Christopher (Darla) of Mascoutah, Ill. Carrol was blessed with 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews. She is also survived by her siblings, Gene (Mary) Ligon of Tomball, TX, Janice Ligon of Cleveland, TX and Kathy (Robert) Rutledge of Kemah, TX.
