Rudene was born in Lawrence County, Alabama on November 13, 1927 to the late Spot and Arlena Davis Pointer. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age and was a member of Ebenezer Christian Church. She was a graduate of Tennessee Valley High School. She was retired from Delphi Corporation.
Mrs. Burt was preceded in death by: her husband, Robert Henry Burt; parents, Spot and Arlena Pointer; granddaughters, Shontisha Burt and Makyla Burt; siblings, Leslie A. Jones, Levolia Pointer, Oley Pointer, Velma Pointer, Sarah Love and Pearl Black; daughter-in-law, Betty Pointer.
Her memory will always live in the hearts of her beloved children; James (Martha) Turnbore of Teaneck, NY, Marshall Pointer of Augusta, GA, Carnell Levolia Burt of Louisville, KY, Lorenzo Burt and Althea Burt both of Decatur; seven grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Susie Perkins and Mary Lee Burt; one special cousin, Sue Bowman all of Hillsboro; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
