Carrie Keeton Hoskey was born August 28, 1931 in Riderwood, Alabama to the late Jeff and Adeline Keeton.  She departed this life Friday, June 7, 2019 at Willow Trace Nursing Home, Butler, Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Otis Hoskey, Sr.; three brothers, Aaron (Lorene) Keeton, Jesse Keeton, Willie (Junior) Johnson; a sister, Rosie McWilliams; a grandson, Otis Hoskey, Jr.; great grandchildren, Arthur and Ashley Jones.

Carrie accepted Christ at an early age attending Wahalak Missionary Baptist Church until she moved to Detroit, Michigan, where she united with New Mt. Herman Missionary Baptist Church.  At New Mt. Herman, she served the church as a member of the Nurses Guild. Upon retiring, she moved to Pushmataha, Alabama to be near her mother.  She reunited with Wahalak Missionary Baptist Church.  She continued to work for the Master at Wahalak by serving on the Kitchen Committee, as a Sunday School Secretary and president of the Home Mission Society.

Carrie leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters and one son, Juanita, Elizabeth, Reana and Arthur; two son-in-laws, Doss Johnson and Goardrow Jackson; one daughter-in-law, Camille Hoskey; nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great grandchildren; three aunts, Lizzie Holcombe, Effie Mae Johnson and Velma Collins; one uncle, Green Lee Keeton; a host of nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.
