Carrie Howell Fulmore was born to the late Russell Howell and Eva Howell Brown on May 30, 1917 in Berkeley County, SC. Carrie grew up in a Christian home and at an early age she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and she joined Unity Baptist Church.
Carrie Howell Fulmore a Servant of our Almighty God finished her course and entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 11, 2014 at Oakbrook Health and Rehab in Summerville, SC.
She was united in holy matrimony on May 20, 1935 to the late Samuel Fulmore in Kingstree, SC.
Carrie Howell Fulmore taught school in SC for 10 years. Later she moved to White Plains, NY where she was employed by the Southern Westchester Board of Education. Carrie Howell Fulmore was a member of Union Baptist Church, where she sang on the choir, served on the Trustee Board and held several other auxiliaries positions in the church.
Those left who will cherish her precious memories of her life and contributuons include a daughter she reared, Joann Marie (Earl) Mingo, and a daughter, Gwendolyn Bonner (Cookie); grandchildren; Russell A. Fulmore, Terina (Ronnie) Armstrong, Joyce (Robert) Jackson, Sheila (Donald) Etheredge, Robert (Kia) Bonner, Steven (Elaine) Mingo, Martina (Tommy) Mitchell; seven great-grandchildren; one god daughter, Jasmine Mazyck; two god sons, Joe Edwards Jefferson and Chris Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
