Carren Lee Schoenborn, age 44, began her journey home, on June 3, 2019 from her residence in Warroad, MN.  She was born March 10, 1975 to Russell Edward Donnell and Barbara Ann (Bailey) Gentry in Red Lake. She had been a lifelong resident of the Redby/Red Lake area until February.

Carren had a love of the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding on the back roads and spending her days in the sun. She enjoyed trips to the casino and playing keno. But her favorite activity was spending time with Desmond Sigana, her significant other, and her family, especially babysitting her great-nephews and niece.

To this day, the family savors the smells that wafted from Carren’s kitchen, both indoors and out. She was known for her Spanish rice, her cabbage and bean soups and the delicious strawberry cake she served for dessert.

Carren attended school at Red Lake and then entered the Job Corps. She was employed in the logging industry and also worked at the casino in Warroad and on the beltline at the horseradish plant.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Schoenborn, Sr.; her parents; grandparents, Louis and Jane Donnell and Maurice and Rose Bailey; sister, Mary Ann Donnell; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Those left to mourn her loss are a brother Dolan Donnell of Redby; sister Lavette Donnell of Redby; significant other, Desmond Sigana of Red Lake; nieces Jhordan and Taylor Donnell of Redby; nephew Dallas Donnell of Redby and great-nephews Isaac and Aaren Skinaway and great-niece, Bradie Donnell.
