Carolyn Y. “Curly” Magruder, age 62, of Westminster, Maryland, died on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at the Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster.
Born June 19, 1949 in Hanover, PA., she was the daughter of the late Burnell C. and Iva E. (Stouter) Utz.
She is survived by her husband of 8 years, Thomas A. Magruder, Sr.
She was a member of West Liberty United Methodist Church. She loved yardsales, bowling, BINGO, and trips to Charlestown.
Surviving in addition to her husband are children, Monica Summers, Antoinette Hurd and companion Ronald Wallace, Jr., and Antonio Hurd all of Baltimore; grandchildren, Ryan, Ian, Edison, Dakota, and Sherdina; brother, Douglas Utz of Westminster; sisters, Janet Robinson and husband Edward of Sykesville, and Karen Utz of Taneytown; step-children, Anthony Frisby of Taneytown, Theresa Stanton of Frederick, Thomas Magruder, Jr. of Westminster, Janet Magruder of Reisterstown, Veronica Magruder of Westminster, Lamont Magruder of Westminster, Felicia Diggs of Glen Burnie, Aleathea Hurd of Baltimore, Ronald Hurd of Texas, and William Hurd III of Baltimore.
Also survived by sister-in-law and close friend, Shirley Magruder of Westminster; and numerous step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
