Carolyn was born on May 5, 1966 in Morgan County Alabama to the late Lewis Lampkin Jr. and Eunice Floree Sharpley Lampkin. She departed this life on May 16, 2014 at Decatur Morgan Hospital-DGH Campus.
During most of Carolyn’s adult life, she was employed as a home care provider and worked for Holmes Industry for seven years. She was a very outgoing and outspoken person that loved her family unconditionally.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Lewis “Hank” Lampkin Jr. and Eunice Floree Sharpley Lampkin; and one brother, John Doyle Lampkin.
She leaves to cherish her memory: two sons, Jamar (Amber) Muhammad, Calvin (Meagan) Muhammad both of Hartselle; one daughter, Ashley Townsend of Decatur; five grandchildren, Ryan Muhammad, Genesis Muhammad, E.J. Muhammad, Sam Lewis Muhammad and Adalynn Robertson; three brothers, James (Trula) Lampkin of Decatur, William Lampkin of Hartselle, Paul Lampkin of Decatur; one sister, Sharon (Dewayne) Hunter of Marietta, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
