Carolyn R. Groezinger, age 65 of Stockton, IL, died Friday, December 30, 2011, at the Stockton Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Carolyn was born July 7, 1946, the daughter of Clarence and Rayma (Schuldt) Groezinger. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Stockton where she was treasurer for the Sunday School. She had been active in banking for 45 years. In 2011, she retired from the Apple River State Bank where she was a customer service representative. Carolyn was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan and loved her cats and playing euchre. She especially enjoyed hosting family get-togethers for Christmas, New Year, and the 4th of July.
She is survived by her sister Marlene (Marvin) Atz; three nieces, Cynthia (Jeff) Cowman, Tana Jones, and Lynda (Brian Dahlk) Atz; two nephews, Tony (Isabel) Jones and Terry (Deleana) Atz; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, sister Sandra, and infant sister Jean Lynn.
