Brown Summit – Ms. Carolyn Patrick Hairston departed this life on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. Carolyn was the second child born to the late Robert and Virginia Patrick. She attended Brown Summit High School and Northeast High School. After graduation, she married Hassel Hairston. A resident of Charlotte for many years, she was a loyal employee of First Union Bank until her health declined. Carolyn professed her faith and belief in God and joined Locust Grove Missionary Baptist Church at a very young age. She had a personal relationship with God, reading, studying the Bible daily taking notes. Carolyn was an avid, skillful, crafts person. Not only was she gifted with a sewing talent but crocheting, ceramics and needlework.
