Carolyn P. Stephens Flatt, age 74, of Parkersburg, WV, formerly of Morehead, KY, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospital in Parkersburg.
Born April 7, 1936, in Parkersburg, WV, she was the daughter of Charles R. and Zelpha White Stephens. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Cecil Stephens.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 54 years, Dr. Don Flatt; two children, Missy Spivy and her husband Joe of Vienna, WV and David Flatt and his wife Kathy of Sandy Hook, KY; 11 grandchildren, Amanda (Anthony) Wireman, Kelly Flatt, Leah (Cory) Delbaugh, David Flatt, Cameron Flatt, J. T. Spivy, Bronson Flatt, Samuel Flatt, Anna Carolyn Spivy, Shanna (Garrick) Bradley, and Coty Stephens; and 7 great grandchildren, Alexis Wireman, Alan Wireman, Brayden Moore, Brody Moore, Caden Flatt, Eden Flatt, and Samuel Flatt.
Other survivors include two sisters, Frances Stephens of Vienna, WV and Emeline Waring and husband Frank of Melbourne, FL; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews; other devoted family and friends.
