A Brief Sketch of Life
Carolyn Kay Gordon was born July 15, 1942 in Indianapolis, Indiana to parents, Lawrence and Ester Juanita Gordon. Carolyn Kay was the second child to their union.
Carolyn Kay attended Indianapolis Public Schools #36 and #87 and graduated from Shortridge High School in June of 1960. After graduating from high school, she took the time to raise her first born, Kevin D. Curd. During that time she met the love of her life Jerry H. Webb. They married and raised a total of 4 kids.
Carolyn Kay Webb then started her work career at RCA for 16 years. She then later worked for UMM Electronics for 10 years. Carolyn Kay then took time off from work to spend quality time with her family. In 2003 she started working for Walmart as a Door Greeter where she truly enjoyed her Walmart family members.
Carolyn Kay was a member of Jones Tabernacle A.M.E .
Mrs. Carolyn Kay Webb departed this life on April 26, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Ester Juanita Gordon; husband, Jerry H Webb; sons, Joey Johnson and Jerry Johnson; grandson, Jerry Kinslow, Jr.; brother, Lonnie Gordon; sisters, Dorthy Demmings, Betty Jo Anderson.
She leaves to cherish her memories her sons, Kevin D. Curd and daughter-in-law, Dionne; Jerry Kinslow and daughter-in-law, Jerri; Benjamin H. Webb and daughter-in-law, Andrea; and Keith A. Webb; her only daughter, Renita Kay Griffin and son-in-law, Bobby; brother, Tony A Gordon (Aretha); two sisters, Loretta Jackson and Robin Sanders and her husband, Kerry; and “my girls”, Andrea Webb, Kelly Stewart and Karen Lambert.
She also leaves to cherish her memories her grandchildren, Tamika Kent Alisa Johnson Brittney Webb, Shawn Webb, Sherrica Poplar, Wittney Griffin, Tania Davis, Jerrica Griffin, Shakeya’ Webb, Kiara Curd, Keiana Webb, Kevin Curd, Jordan Griffin, Jarryd Kinslow and Kyndal Webb.
