Carolyn Kay Carrick, 75, of Galesburg, died at 3:29 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018, at home. Carolyn was born September 7, 1942, in Galesburg, the daughter of Kenneth and Marcile F. (Healey) Carrick.
Carolyn is survived by one son, Mark Probst of Galesburg; one sister, Marilyn (Raymond) Ellison of Galesburg; two brothers, Ron Roberts of Galesburg and Randy (Theresa) Roberts of Mooresville, NC, and one granddaughter, McKenzie Probst. She was preceded in death by her parents. Carolyn was in the first graduating class at the new Galesburg High School. She then graduated from Knox College with a degree in Medi-physics.
She worked in Galesburg for many years, working at the Galesburg Research Hospital, Burlington Northern Railroad, and lastly as a Christian Science Practitioner. Carolyn enjoyed reading her Bible and attending Bible Study groups. Most of all, Carolyn loved her son and granddaughter. Carolyn spent several years living on Mark’s boat in Redwood City, CA.
