Carolyn June (Herrick) Hruniak, 89, passed peacefully on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. Carolyn was born in Henniker, New Hampshire, February 7, 1932, the daughter of the late Foster Hammond Herrick and Olive (Patch) Herrick. After graduating from Henniker High School, Carolyn studied education at New England College, earning a bachelor’s degree in 1953. After college, Carolyn moved to Hartford, CT to work in the insurance industry, and met the love of her life, Harry Hruniak, whom she wed in 1955. Together, Carolyn and Harry raised two daughters, Kathryn Hruniak Adams and Jennifer Hruniak Fodaski, in Cromwell, CT, until they retired and moved to the Sarasota area in Florida. In addition to her daughters, Carolyn leaves six grandchildren. Michael Adams of Moscow, Russia; Hadley Adams of Lake Placid, NY; Foster Adams of Chicago, IL; Mary Adams, of New York City; Donald Fodaski, of Middletown, CT; Rachel Plante, of Lyndonville, VT, and numerous great-grandchildren.
