Carolyn J. Meador, age 79, of Centralia, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at Centralia Manor with her family by her side. Carolyn was born October 5, 1938, in Centralia, Illinois, the daughter of Roy James and Mildred (Hoeinghaus) James. She married Edward Meador on April 27, 1957, in Centralia and he survives her.
In addition to her husband of 61 years, she is survived by: four daughters: Tammy Miller and husband Steve of Walnut Hill, Kathy Wells and husband Bob of Harker Heights, TX, Lisa Foltz and husband Nick of Centralia, and Melissa Foraker and husband Jack of Irvington; five grandchildren: Doug Holtkamp, Kristen Stedelin and husband Joe, Alex Foltz and wife Samantha, Rachael Smith and husband Joe, and Kylie Foltz; seven great-grandchildren; four siblings: Larry James and wife Vicky of Centralia, Thomas James and partner Michelle of Centralia, Joyce Sample and husband Dave of Centralia, and Janice Ring and husband Gary of Centralia; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents: Roy and Mildred James; eight siblings: Roy James Jr., Stanley James, Mildred Lamb, Sue Perry, Dolores Chapman, David James, Phyllis James, and Betty James; two great-grandsons: Corbin and Jude. Carolyn enjoyed spending her time cooking and baking for the people she loved. She also enjoyed playing the lottery. Most of all, Carolyn enjoyed and cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.
