Carolyn Adams Ellis, 78, of 3303 Palmerland Drive, Hope Mills, died Friday, May 22, 2015 at her residence.
She was the daughter of the late William James and Topsie Dixon Adams and widow of the late Willie B. Ellis. She was a retired private duty home health aide.
She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Oliver of Oviedo, FL and Teresa Whiteside of Rye, NY. Sons, Dwight Ellis of Fayetteville and Selwyn Ellis of White Plains, NY. Stepdaughters, Elaine Hackett and Tyris Willis both of Richmond, VA. Sisters, Willie Mae Forte of Clinton, Clennie Herring of Fayetteville and Gloria “Gwen” Chisolm of Wade. Brother, Matthew “Leary” Adams of Fayetteville. Ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.
