Carolyn “Carol” Louise Dorgan, 80, passed away on July 10, 2022. Carol
was born in Chicago on May 29, 1942 to John and Louise (nee Hall)
Dorgan. The family later moved to Oak Lawn and Carol graduated from
OLCHS in 1960. She bought a home in Evergreen Park where she lived for
decades before moving to Bridgeview.
Carol is survived by her brother John (Barbara) Dorgan, sister Elizabeth
(Carl) Grace, six nieces and nephews, many great-nieces and nephews,
and her Godchildren, Lisa (Tony) Chavez and Tony Braun. She was
predeceased by her parents, sister Pamala Dorgan, brother Terrence
Dorgan, and one nephew, Sean Dorgan.
Carol worked for many years for the Illinois Tollway. Outside of work, Carol
was known for tending to her elderly neighbors. She had a special affection
for little old ladies long before she was one, and her neighbors knew they
could count on her to drive them to their medical appointments and the
grocery store, or to pick up items they needed when they weren’t up to the
task of going. She also loved and tended many animals through the years,
which likely amused and sometimes annoyed her closest neighbors. Carol
just couldn’t say no to a sweet furry face.
