She died at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006, in Miller’s Merry Manor.

Born Oct. 15, 1924, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Frederick and Lucile Barnes Drompp. She was married Sept. 4, 1948, in Logansport, to William E. Moore, who survives.

A 1946 graduate of DePauw University, she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.

Following graduation, she worked for the Red Cross in South Bend as a social worker until her marriage. She then worked as a teacher at Woodlawn Center, beginning in 1968, and worked up to program director and then executive director, a position she held for more than 15 years. During this period, she administered an annual budget that rose from $160,000 to over a million and a quarter dollars per year.

Crick enjoyed traveling but most especially enjoyed her family.

Also surviving are sons, Bruce F. Moore and his wife, Theresa, Canal Fulton, Ohio, David Moore and his wife, Ruth, Whidbey Island, Wash., and Alan Moore and his wife, Tracy, Indianapolis; daughters, Susan VanDeman and her husband, Mark, Whiteland, Janie Sampson and her husband, Keith, Sisters, Ore., and Carolyn Burdsall and her husband, Mike, Danville; sisters, Joan McAfee and her husband, Bill, Pisgah Forest, N.C.; Judith Guild and her husband, Dr. Kent, Plymouth; two aunts, Virginia Kniesly, Logansport, and Doris Hillis, Bloomington; 19 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and a number of nieces and nephews.
