Carolyn D. Collum, 88, of Lafayette, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at White Oak Health Campus in Monticello.
She was born July 4, 1934, in Lafayette, to the late George and Gertrude (Siple) Ellis.
Carolyn graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School.
On February 4, 1955, she married Henry H. Collum in Lafayette. He preceded her in death on January 1, 2004.
She was a long time member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. She loved her grandchildren and adored her great grandchildren. Caolyn enjoyed bowling and the long term friendships she developed. She would talk politics with anyone that would listen. Carolyn was a master puzzle builder and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Surviving are a daughter, Debra Bishop of Monticello, a sister, Sandy Elton of Modesto, CA and a brother, Donald Ellis of Austin, TX. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Brett (Amy) Bishop, Cody (Gretchen) Bishop, Jessica and Tony Collum as well as five great grandchildren.
Carolyn was preceded in death by a son, James Ellis Collum.
