Carolyn Ann Holzhausen Koski, died on June 8, 2024, at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, at the age of 78.Carolyn was born on August 28, 1945, the daughter of Eldred Holzhausen and Dorothy (Swartzmiller). She graduated from Chesaning High School in 1963. She married her husband, Richard Koski, in 1963 and spent most of her time as a homemaker.Carolyn took pride in being involved in her community, and worked many jobs throughout her life, being able to help those around her. She was involved in Shiawassee 4H, working at the Chesaning Village Office, being a part of the Chesaning Area Historical Society, Valley Ambulance, Saginaw County Fairgrounds (volunteer of the year in 2010), and the Trinity United Methodist Church. She worked at JCPenny, Cowmans, Herberts, and volunteered at Jobs Daughters. She also enjoyed sewing, painting, clowns, and took pride in installing her love of helping others through her children.Carolyn is survived by her husband, Richard Koski; children, Sue DeGeus, Fred (Lana Robinette) and Tim (Marcus Rhoden); siblings, Bob (Pat) Holzhausen and Beth (Wayne) Lyon; grandchild, Richard (Kari) Denter; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Brook, and Madeline; close family friends, Mary Ann Jenkinsen and Joyce Gard; neighbors, Jim (Beth) Hewitt, Kay and Wayne Suppes; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Donna Thompson, Emogene (Ken) Volz, Bill (Dolly) Holzhausen; son-in-law, Randy DeGeus, and her father and mother-in-law, Aarne and Hilma Koski.The family would like to give a special thanks to all of the nurses and doctors that have helped throughout the years with Carolyns health issues, and to the pharmacy for taking such good care of her. Thank you to all of the friends, neighbors, and family that have been there when she needed help, love, and support.
