Carolyn Ann “Kate” (Greaser) Koch, 81, of Kingwood, WV, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2017, at Pine Ridge Nursing Home with family by her side after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
She was born on June 17, 1936, in Morgantown, WV, to the late Joseph Bernard and Margaret (Bickford) Greaser.
Carolyn was a lifelong member of the St. Sebastian Catholic Church and a past member of its Altar Society.
Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 63 years Fred J. Koch, Jr. of Kingwood; four children and spouses, Candie and Sam Liston and Freddie and Jane Koch, both of Morgantown, Steve and Vicki Koch and Kelly and Richard Mitchell both of Kingwood; a brother and sister-in law, Robert and Barbara Greaser of Kingwood; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Greaser of Terra Alta and Cindy Koch Field and husband Richard of Somerset, KY; eight grandchildren, Brooks and Cyndi Liston, Courtney and Scott Kirby, Katelyn and Jeremy Preston, Heather and Ryan Robba, Mitchell Koch, Ross Koch, Colton Goff and Madison Goff; and five great- grandchildren, Abigail, Lacey and Beau Liston and Kendall and Caroline Kirby.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Greaser; a son-in-law, Richard Goff; and grandson, Bryson Koch.
The family would like to extend our most sincere appreciation to the staff of Pine Ridge Nursing Home for their personal and compassionate care of our mother.
Friends may call at Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel; 295 South Price Street from 2-8 pm on Thursday, July 6, 2017, with a prayer vigil at 7 pm, followed by the recitation of the Rosary.
