Carolyn Ann Carnes (79), a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, went to be with her Lord on March 22, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones, who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
Carol was a very sweet soul and loved her Lord. She was a member of Simply Grace Community Church. Some of her favorite things were dogs, birds, flowers, gardening, music, and the beach. Her little dog, Harlie, was the light of her life. She was very family-oriented and never met a stranger. She was the foundation that held our family together and she will always be remembered as “our yellow rose.”
She was preceded in death by her husband, Reggie; her parents, Wilson and Dorothy Laird, and Thelma Graham; her brother, Buddy Laird; and son-in-law, Cliff Cosgrove.
Carolyn is survived by her six children, Wendy Cosgrove, Mike Carnes (Judy), Teresa Earp (Jim), Scott Carnes, Kelly Wittenbarger (Bill Hutto), and Chris Carnes (Jane); her sisters, Sharon Harris and Darlene Laird Adams. In addition, she had 19 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
