Carolyn A. Heacox of Meridianville, Alabama finished the last mile of her journey home to heaven on Saturday, February 20, 2021.  She was surrounded by her family. Service to others was her calling and she did it through work in the medical field and ministry at church, but mostly through her personal relationships with those she loved. Her heart, her sense of humor and her commitment to family and friends were qualities unmatched and treasured deeply.

With a love for God and that servant’s heart she raised and is survived by her children, Jason Heacox (Teresa), Sherri Tate, Lisa Buck and Cherita Hall (Kevin), who have inherited a deep knowledge of the love of God, a love for music and a willingness to serve others from that love. Her grandchildren Christin Ray (Ryan), Brandon Heacox (Natasha), Ryan Heacox (Steffany), Sheree Mullins (Ronny), Jacob Buck (Dani), Katie Hubbard (Blake) and Kelsey Culver (Joseph) also experienced a grandmother who loved God first and them right after that. Silliness, sweetness and tender loving care were hallmarks of her time spent with them. Her great grandchildren Kiley, Matthew, Kaleb Ray, Jack and CeCe Heacox, Bentlee and Bailee Heacox, London Tate, Warren and Hattie Mullins, Bradley and Dalia Buck and Kherington and Kensington Hubbard will grow up knowing undoubtedly how loved they were by their great grandmother. She is also survived by her sister Jeanne Holcomb and her brother Tommy Aldridge.

She was welcomed graciously into heaven by her husband Reverend Robert P. Heacox, daughter Reva Sherrie Heacox, grandson Matthew Aaron Buck, mother Katie Mills Aldridge and father Eugene Aldridge.
