Carolyn A. Furnish, 79, Anderson, passed away July 31, 2011 at her residence after an extended illness. She was born June 10, 1932 in Owenton, Kentucky, and resided in Anderson most of her life.
Carolyn was a 1951 graduate of Anderson High School. She worked in retail most of her life, including JC Penney and most recently, Walls Furniture. Carolyn worked up to the age of 75.
Carolyn was a member of First Baptist Church She is survived by her siblings, Joan Shepherd Jim of Anderson and Donald R. Furnish Beth of Canaan; nieces & nephews, Jennifer “Jay Jay” Warner Rackley Steve of Fishers, Travis Shepherd Elizabeth of Anderson, Mylinda Shepherd of Anderson, Jeff Furnish Sharon of Austin, Texas, Doug Furnish of Fishers, David Furnish Tami of Hendersonville, Tennessee, Karrie House Brian of Anderson and Kellie Sheward Dan of Weisbauden, Germany; several great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reuben and Audrey Rousey Furnish.
