She was the loving daughter of Helen Torrance and the late David V. Torrance of Plymouth. Born and raised in Plymouth MA, Carrie was a graduate of Plymouth-Carver High School, class of 1981, and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts at the Swain School of Design. Carrie was a very talented artist and created many forms of art, both for a living and for leisure. Carrie was involved with the AIDS Action Committee, designing birthday cards for survivors of HIV at the height of the Aids epidemic. Carrie had been working recently on creating personalized pet portraits for family and friends, and up until recently worked for Whole Foods in Newton and Weymouth, Ma locations. Carrie enjoyed camping and kayaking with Glendon and spending time in Maine with Kiera and spent thousands of hours creating beautiful works of art, large and small, including interior design and creating small, intricate pieces and decorating wooden chairs, which can be seen all over her family home. Carrie cherished the time spent with her nieces Sarah and Mylee, who were the joy of her life. She enjoyed family time spent with her brother David and her late sister Cindy during summer holidays and weekends in Plymouth and on the Cape.
